ZenLedger says you save 10% when you buy multiple years, and offers personal product consulting at $150 an hour. CoinLedger lists 15% off reports for 2018 and earlier, and lets you pay the difference to move up a tier.

What each includes

CoinLedger (pricing): IRS Form 8949, international reports, an income report, capital gains and audit-trail reports, and exports to TurboTax, TaxAct, H&R Block and TaxSlayer. It doesn’t count self-transfers between your own wallets, and it deducts up to $25 of staking and interest micro-transactions.

ZenLedger (pricing): every plan lists all detailed reports; DeFi, staking and NFTs; an audit report; tax professional access; HIFO, FIFO and LIFO; unlimited exchanges; mining and donations; ICOs and airdrops; tax-loss harvesting; crypto as income; a FinCEN/FBAR alert; and TurboTax integration. Its unlimited option also includes one hour of live support. ZenLedger also sells tax-professional-prepared plans.

Refunds

  • CoinLedger: 14-day refund policy only when all three conditions are met: the request is within 14 days, no report has been downloaded, and support verifies a bug or product limitation (refund policy).
  • ZenLedger: its terms of use (section 14, effective 27 Dec 2024) say “All ZenLedger plans have a 14 day refund policy”, and its refund policy article (updated 20 Aug 2026) says the same, including for Tax Professional Prepared Plans. If you ask after downloading tax forms or CSV files, ZenLedger may refuse or issue a partial refund. To ask, email ZenLedger support with your account email and receipt. The pricing page mentions a “1 year refund policy” elsewhere, but the terms and help center both say 14 days.
  • ZenLedger renewal: “we will automatically subscribe you to yearly auto-renewal of your subscription… You will be notified via email 7 days prior to the renewal charge” (help center, updated 20 Aug 2026). You can cancel under Settings > Billing > Cancel Subscription. The terms of use give the same example: tax year 2018 bought on 10 Jan 2019 is “automatically charged for the tax year 2019 on January 10, 2020”, with an email reminder 7 days before.
