Profit, set-aside and take-home
Enter the set-aside percentage your accountant recommends to see results.
Assumptions & sources
You enter the tax set-aside percentage. We don't estimate taxes because they depend on your country, structure and circumstances.
- Excludes sales tax/VAT/GST, refunds, chargebacks, payout and FX fees (unless toggled), and promotions.
- No vendor data: this calculator only uses the numbers you enter.
How it works
- Profit = total revenue − business expenses.
- Set-aside = profit × your set-aside %. Nothing is set aside if you made a loss.
- Savings = what's left × your savings %.
- Take-home = profit − set-aside − savings. Shown per month, per quarter (× 3) and per year (× 12).
Worked example
$6,000 revenue, $1,500 expenses and a 25% set-aside: profit $4,500, set-aside $1,125 ($3,375 a quarter), take-home $3,375 a month.
