The WordPress software is free to download from wordpress.org, but you need your own hosting and domain. WordPress.com, which hosts it for you, has paid plans starting at $9 a month on monthly billing.
Is Systeme.io cheaper than WordPress?
It depends on what you add. Systeme.io's free plan includes hosting, funnels, email and a course. A self-hosted WordPress site adds hosting and any paid plugins; WordPress.com Business, which lists email marketing and backups, costs $40 a month on monthly billing.
Can I blog on Systeme.io?
Yes. Systeme.io's pricing page lists 1 blog on the free plan.
Which is better for SEO and content sites?
On published features, WordPress gives far more control through themes and 60,000+ plugins. Systeme.io's blog is simpler and part of the same tool as your funnels.
Can I use both?
Yes. Some creators keep a WordPress site for content and use Systeme.io for funnels, checkout and email, linking between them.
Does WordPress.com charge transaction fees?
Its pricing page lists a WordPress.com fee on paid subscriptions and payments, plus Stripe processing, that drops as you upgrade. It lists 0% transaction fees for standard WooCommerce payment features on Business and Commerce, with standard processing fees still applying.
