What you keep at $3,000 a month

Example: 100 members paying $30 a month, US cards, one payout a month.

  • Whop, base rates: 100 × ($0.81 + $0.30 + $0.07 Radar) + $2.50 next-day ACH payout = $120.50. You keep $2,879.50.
  • Whop, with billing (0.5%) and tax (2%) add-ons on: add $75, so $195.50. You keep $2,804.50.
  • Skool Pro: $99 + 100 × ($0.87 + $0.30) = $216. You keep $2,784.
  • Skool Hobby: $9 + 100 × ($3.00 + $0.30) = $339. You keep $2,661.

Not included: Whop’s 3DS fee ($0.03 when used), international-card and currency-conversion surcharges, and disputes; Skool’s Growth Boost cut on members it brings. Whop lists billing (0.5%) and tax and remittance (2%) as charged “when enabled”; neither page says billing is required for recurring memberships, so both totals are shown.

How the fees work

Whop (fees): card processing is 2.7% + USD 0.30 for domestic cards, +1.5% for international cards and +1% if currency conversion applies. Add-ons stack on top when enabled: orchestration 0.8%, billing 0.5%, and tax and remittance 2%. With everything enabled and tax collected, Whop’s own example comes to 6% + USD 0.30. Payouts cost $2.50 for next-day ACH, 4% + $2.50 for instant bank deposit, 5% + $1 for crypto, 5% + $2.50 for Venmo and $23 for a wire.

Skool (payments FAQ): Hobby is $9 a month with 10% + USD 0.30 per payment; Pro is $99 a month with 2.9% + USD 0.30 up to $899 and 3.9% + USD 0.30 above $900. Processing is included, Skool is merchant of record for VAT and sales tax, and payouts go out every Wednesday.
